I have been fascinated by the natural world for as long as I can remember. It gives me great pleasure to capture the beauty that surrounds me in that particular moment in time, and share that memory with everyone. My fascination with weather stems from when I was a child. This fascination spurred me to pursue my dream of predicting the weather for a living. I work as a meteorologist full time for the National Weather Service. It gives me great pleasure to capture a lightning bolt over a distant mountain, or the incredible structure of a super cell thunderstorm roaming the high plains. In addition to weather photography, I am an avid hiker and outdoorsman. I enjoy capturing the natural world as I experience it through my eyes. I also am experienced in portraiture and have photographed several weddings. My latest venture in photography involves shooting time lapse images.
